The Value of a "Clean Desk": Why We’re Switching Off This Easter
As Company Directors, we spend most of our year focused on the "future." We look at projections, we mitigate risks, and we ensure our compliance is audit-ready months in advance. We do this to build something that lasts—something that provides security for our teams and our families.
But as the office quietens down for the Easter long weekend, it’s worth remembering that the ultimate goal of "good governance" is peace of mind.
We work hard on the registry and the records so that when a public holiday rolls around, we don't have a "silent list" of worries running in the back of our minds. We do the heavy lifting early so that we can be fully present for the moments that actually matter.
This weekend, the Moran Financial team will be taking our own advice. We are stepping away from the ASIC portals and the compliance calendars to spend time with our loved ones, reset our focus, and enjoy the break.
A Simple Easter Reflection: Governance is about protecting your business, but rest is about protecting you. A Director who is recharged and refreshed is always more effective than one who is perpetually "on."
From our family to yours, we wish you a safe, happy, and peaceful Easter break. We look forward to returning on Tuesday, ready to help you tackle the final push toward the end of the financial year.
Enjoy the chocolate, the family time, and the quiet. You’ve earned it.
